A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Journalism/Media Studies or an equivalent qualification with at least six years of lecturing experience and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience in journalistic or media research. Excellent English communication skills (oral and writing). Experience with initiating media research projects, sourcing funding, research supervision at both under- and post-graduate levels, and strong organisational skills as well as a credible record of teaching, curriculum development, and peer-reviewed publications in accredited journals and service will be an advantage.
