    The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for an Adjunct Faculty English position within the Dougherty Family College. The successful candidate will start spring semester on January 29, 2018. THE OPPORTUNITYThe University of St. Thomas invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in English for the university's new two-year college, the Dougherty Family College at the University of St. Thomas. These are non-tenure track positions. Faculty will teach a 200-level core curriculum writing course that integrates the teaching of writing and literature. We seek colleagues with a record of success in teaching academic writing and literature, expertise in culturally responsive pedagogy, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Teaching load includes 1-2 courses per semester. Required Master's degree in English, MFA in Writing, or closely related discipline. Candidates with at least three years of college teaching experience (community college teaching experience a plus) are strongly encouraged to apply.
