Lehman College of The City University of New York seeks multiple committed and innovative social studies educators with a penchant for working with diverse urban populations. Responsibilities include teaching middle and high school social studies methods courses, and supervising student teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.
The preferred candidate will also hold a Master’s degree or higher with New York State Grades 7-12 Social Studies certification. Additionally, the candidate will have a stellar record of classroom teaching.
Commensurate with education and experience.
